The ‘Square Mile’ has over 180 green spaces, often hidden by the bustling urban landscape. These well-maintained ‘pocket parks’ provide recreational opportunities for visitors, as well as an important habitat for local flora and fauna. There is a fascinating story behind each of these parks, gardens and churchyards nestled amongst famous City sites - which you will hear during our walk around the historic St Paul's neighbourhood.

Stroll with us through the Spitalfields area adjacent to the City of London, where magnificent Georgian houses line the side streets of an historic (now
trendy and multi-cultural) neighbourhood. Hear about the immigrant communities over the centuries who found refuge and work nearby, including French Protestant silk weavers, Russian Jewish tailors and Bangladeshi Muslim restauranteurs. Our walk will start at the site of the Roman Wall that defined the original settlement of Londinium, and take us through famous streets such as Petticoat Lane and Brick Lane, finishing up at Spitalfields market - now famous for
food, fashion, art, and music.

Walk with us along the Thames from the Tower to London Bridge, and hear about
2000 years of history. Known as the Pool of London, this area has been a hub of maritime, military and royal activity for centuries. See both ancient and modern iconic sights, including the Shard (Britain’s tallest skyscraper), London Bridge (originally built by the Romans), the Tower of London (1000-years old), HMS Belfast (once the largest cruiser in the Royal Navy), and Tower Bridge (with option to visit the upper walkways, offering a panoramic view).
