This walking tour is for everybody with an interest in London’s extraordinary culture and heritage! Our route will take us across the City of London and past many of its most important tourist sites, as we visit key locations that tell the story of London’s Jewish community from medieval to modern times. Learn about the Jews brought to England by William the Conqueror after 1066, the expulsion
in 1290
under Edward I, the resettlement under Cromwell in 1656, and stories of subsequent Jewish immigration from the 17th to the 20th centuries. Hear about many fascinating Jewish personalities, and about Jewish life in Britain and around the world.
