Brighton Walking Tour

With its long pebble beach, traditional seaside pier and famously vibrant atmosphere, Brighton is one of the most popular seaside resorts in the UK with over 9m visitors each year. The city is rich in history, including the magnificent Royal Pavilion - an 18th century fantasy palace built for George IV, when he was still the playboy Prince of Wales. Brighton is also known for its elegant Regency architecture and wide choice of entertainment options. Visitors are furthermore attracted by the many quirky shops to be found in a maze of narrow 18th century streets.

Starting at Brighton railway station a mile inland from the pier, we will finish at the beach - from where you can see the chalk cliffs of the South Downs from the edge of the English Channel - whilst eating fish and chips or perhaps an ice cream!

Join our informative walking tour to hear fascinating stories about three centuries of Brighton people and events. Did you know that this small city has the highest percentage of LGBTQ residents in the country, was attacked from the air on 56 occasions during WWII, and hosted both the Beatles and the Rolling Stones in 1964?

Our stops will include North Laine and The Lanes; Royal Pavilion; Brighton Town Hall; Brighton Palace Pier; Brighton seafront.
